Specialized Tactical Training

Defense Technology's hallmark ICP Instructor Program provides the necessary training for a changing world. This course is comprised of four 8-hour instructor-level classes covering OC Aerosols, Impact Munitions, Chemical Munitions and Distraction Device® Munitions. The student will acquire instructor-level knowledge of Defense Technology® products, both technically and tactically, along with the skills necessary to conduct in-service training. 

 This field-level certification program is designed to acquaint participants with the operational use of the ASP Tactical Baton, Tactical Restraints and Performance Flashlights. The training includes basic portation (carrying), presentation (drawing) techniques, and defensive application procedures. Certification acknowledges that the individual officer met a competency-based standard of knowledge and performance.

We take this course and weave it into our Use of Force recertification course for Corporate, Institutional, and Security services.

 *Potential participants should be aware that ASP programs are competency-based. Mere attendance at ASP Training does not assure certification.

De-escalation, crisis intervention, BCSM analysis and use, critical decision-making skills for the retail asset protection and front-facing staff

I R D - Immediate Rapid Deployment

They are colloquially known as active shooters and active attackers.  This course focuses on the sound concept and tactics needed for successful extreme event intervention.

Use of Force training is far more than just shooting a qualification. The technical application of force is just the final piece of the equation. A robust incident response training program will better prepare officers to assess available options and make the best decision. This course applies to special constables and security professionals.
